Does the date say 1923 ?

I took these today in the Bell Hotel, Aylesbury market square. This is a Wetherspoons pub which we always use, but the first time I have seen this. and we have sat in this area loads of times, but not right beneath it as today.

I took these yesterday 30-12-19 but am not really sure where though ? We saw it along the side of the road around the Billericay area towards Wickford. Essex. An elderly lady walking her dog stopped to ask us if we had any connection to those listed. Also told us that this memorial had been moved from it's original place and put here, and she looks after the flowers etc.

Just discovered where ! This memorial is at Crays Hill, just before Wickham, Essex.

The CWGC site gives two F W Phillips from the Navy. One on HMS Neptune sunk by mines in the Med and the other serving with HMS Europa, Lowestoft. Was the latter a cover for those serving with COPP?

Long Ashton near Bristol is finally getting a war memorial. For some reason its never had one.

I took these this afternoon at Botley Wargrave Cemetry, Oxon.
