I took these today at St Nicholas's church, Cubblington, Bucks. This lovely old church, along with many others would have been demolished had the new London Airport been built during the 1970s.

The Dead got memorials, The living got time.

I took these today at St Peter and St Paul's church, Ellesborough, Bucks. Very close to Chequers and well used by most of the Prime Ministers.
The Plough pub at nearby Cadsden is also a well visited place by the PMs for their Dinner / Lunches.

Holton le Clay War Memorial for 1914-18 and 1939-45 at St Peters Church

There is also a 1914-18 Roll of Honour inside the church under glass which is difficult to photograph which includes men who served with the RFC and RAF

We heard about this Poppy window, and it's reflections, this morning on Radio Oxford. This is at a very small village called Noke, Oxon. I remember the poem from the 1960s. I went to Noke and no-one Spoke I went to Thame it was just the Same I went to Brill and all was Still so I went to Beckly and they spoke Directly. According to the Church Warden the font was given by the daughter of William the conqueror..
