No, if Carnaby's paying we need more in order to ensure that there is at least one left after the war to put into a museum:)

The trick is to get others to agree with you about your sanity
Each will have his own definition of sanity; it is unlikely that you will conform to all of them and possible that you will conform to none of them; that's when the men in the white suites turn up. Take heart this is by far the most populated group.

Now another has joined you; G'di All.
I'm "Gary", Gary for short 5' 6" [If I'd read the FAQ I'd knoiw how to put in my picture so that you can all judge for yourself], thankfully brevity will suffice.

Welcome Gary!

Remember there is a fine line between sanity and insanity depending on which side of the runway you are stood!

Many thanks Dave - I know the thread on the keypublishing forum and very good it is too. The FRU I am saving till last as it seems to be a huge subject. I have a detailed history of the aircraft only at Hurn and would like to contact you at a later date if that is OK?

Kind Regards
Keith

Hi KeMac - welcome to the forum.

I have plenty of Airwork ads if you'd like copies - Quite a few already on display at www.aviationancestry.com/ - and more to come.

Cheers
Dave

This must be a popular topic as there have been several , actually many , recent posts about Airwork at Heston and Renfrew on the Air Britain forum . Sadly , I have deleted them all !

Hi everyone

I'm 22years old and just finished a three year BA Hons Course in Photography at the University of Ulster, Belfast. As a Final Year project last term, I made a body of work based on 'Abandoned Autobahns' in Germany. I want to continue the World War Two theme and look for more abandoned locations, hopefully with your help. At the top of my list, I want to photograph the remains of Abandoned Airfields in Northern Ireland. The reason for the project is mainly due to it being something different as many people don't realise they exist.

If it is possible, I could do with some help in finding the areas in Northern Ireland where the airfields would have stood? The project is more about showing where the airfields would have been so it doesn't matter if there is nothing standing now. I'm just trying to show an airfield use to be here in my photographs if that makes sense. The main problem I see myself having is finding the exact location.
