David welcome I have a number of cuttings from Tankette dating back to 1970s which have your name on I believe we also exchanged some info on RAF GSE & MT at about the same time.

Can anyone give me any information on a Lancaster crash near Warsop Notts. I know that it was listed in 'Lost Bombers' but as the site is now lost I cannot recover any details.

How about ; Lancaster BIII PB118/UG-Q , 1654 HCU , RAF Wigsley , crashed near Warsop after being attacked by a German intruder during Operation Gisela on the night of 3-4 March 1945 . See here ;

Many thanks, this is the one.I saw it come down and visited site on the following morning but time dims the memory for dates.

went a bit wrong then moved to Cumbria worked at Winscale/Sellafield till retired
