Welcome Clive. The atlas sounds interesting.

Welcome to AiX Clive, I can probably help you out with munitions storage areas and some odds and sods. Can you clarify what you mean by 'dispersed airfields'?. There were a number of military (RAF and USAAF) airfields within the county during WW2.

Guy - Welcome top AiX. There is some info here;
/community/forumdisplay.php?109-Training-Schools-%28Non-Airfield%29
It covers all parts of training including gunnery schools and will hopefully be of use.

Welcome to the forum. Catfoss had an interesting "career". It started as an Armament Training Camp with a small grass landing ground using the ranges at Skipsea and ended with Thor IRBMs.

Just a quick post to introduce myself and say ' Hi '

I'm Neil, 39 from Bradford in West Yorkshire, I enjoy looking around former WW2 airfields and taking pictures/ surveys of what is still extant.

Living in Yorkshire I tend to stick to " local " sites however I do look around other areas when possible.

I will collate the info I have and post in the relevant forums.

Thanks for letting me in
