Yes. I was chatting to Neil on WW2Talk and found out his interest in airfields.
Persuaded him to introduce himself here (he was already a member).

Hi Bradlad, from Bratford...as our old pub landlord from your area used to say. His name was Danny and he was a Bus driver around the Leeds/Bratford area. His Conductress married him and they moved down here to run a pub in Aylesbury called the Odd Fellows, later the Bell at Chearsley, Bucks. Always plenty of Yorkshire people visiting and staying for the weekend at the pub...good days !! Sorry, welcome to the forum, look forward to your inputs. Paul.

Hi All,

Lurked here for a while, thought I should register and join in the fun!

Dave Robinson put me onto the site after I emailed him about a page on his site.

I guess I've had an interest in airfields as long as I've had an interest in aircraft (i.e. as long as I can remember) and as I travel around the UK a lot in my job, I often pass (or see from aircraft) old and current airfields and wonder 'where/what is that!' - this is the place to find out more!

Hi Dave (from near the other end of the country) and welcome to the forum.
When you say 'or see from aircraft' do you mean commercial flights or other?
My main interest is largely local to me ie Essex but I find airfields in general, or their remains, quite fascinating.

Mike

Just commercial flights (sadly!) - I can see the ambiguity in the original!
