I live by the Alaska hiway in Alberta .I have been a collecter of vehicles since I was young ,This past 10 years I have been collecting WW2 army vehicles . I have just completed a 1942 Fordson N tractor that worked with the bombers during the war in the UK I have friends in the UK that we are working together at restoring brengun carriers When they ferried planes to Russa they went over our place

Peter, Think they were actually called Carrier Universal, maybe dependant on maker, think from memory the were armed with a Boys anti tank rifle as well as a bren. No doubt someone with a real knowledge will correct me.

Ex RAF Fireman was based at St Athan, Newton (Syerston), Brize, Gibraltar, Stanley in my forces years 83-90. Left Air Force worked at Silverstone Circuit from 90-95, now I work at RAF Croughton, still as a bloody Fireman.

Spent best days of RAF Career at Newton absolutely fantastic place to be, rather saddens me to see it disappearing before my eyes. I have been fortunate to work at many historic places oddly enough all airfields of one description or another.!!!!
