I certainly do have copies of the RSP for both airfield and dispersed sites, you can get a pretty coloured in PDF version of the site plan from Desborough Heritage Centre.

Thanks Bucc, I already got the pdf of the site plan from the heritage centre. I'd like a copy of the plan for possibly site 4? It's the site where the BCF buildings are. There is an intriguing amount of rubble in an adjacent field where I walk the dogs that I have been convinced is part of the old site!

Site 4 extended right down into the area that has been cleared ready for buildings behind the current Magnetic park depot, also in the same field as the farm & BCF huts but over by the road was the station WT transmitter site, that was almost opposite Albany sheds who are on one of the WAAF sites.

I've just registered on the forum after lurking for some time. This place is truly a mine of information and knowledge, and has so far provided hours of fascinating reading. Long may it continue.

I've long had an interest in military aviation and airfields. My main areas of airfield interest are the Cold War and USAFE bases.

I'm a structural engineer by profession, with historic building repair experience. Unfortunately I've not been involved with many airfield buildings, although I did visit the Cobra Mist building at Orford Ness about 10 years ago.

My airfield knowledge is negligible compared to many of the members here, so I'm more likely to be asking questions than providing answers. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute where I can.

Hi Everyone
I can't believe i have only just found this place. I have been fascinated in all things military for years especially aircraft/airfields . It runs in the family , my dad is ex military and has a hand in helping to run an aviation museum its not very big but it all counts . Where i live there isn't anything local for a quick trip out so hopefully i will gain a bit more knowledge on here so i can hopefully get out a bit more and find places that are not to far from my doorstep.
