Hi, I'm David from Nottingham and came across your site whilst looking for information about RAF Laarbruch. I was in the RAF from 1965 till 1978 and have developed a nostalgic interest in learning about stations I once served at, plus those in my local vicinity. My trade was General Fitter(GSE) and I was once posted to RAF Masirah where I served in the Gas Plant there (1974/75) and am also looking for information about that. Would be nice to find some ex colleagues too if there are any on here.

Welcome DaveB, have you got any photographs from Masirah, particularly the railway?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Yes, I have checked out the very interesting posts by Ted Angus.
Somewhere in the attic I do have a few photos taken at Masirah, though I don't recall any of the railway. I have however recently purchased a book entitled The Raf Masirah Railway, which I'm part way through reading, a very interesting book indeed with lots of photos.
