I emailed 'Trinity video' when I saw your link on flypast historical. Didnt get an answer though, I am following other lines of enquiry so to speak, as I would like to see the unseen footage too.

Here's a copy of a video tape that I mentioned before somewhere ages ago. It runs for about 40 minutes. Tape supplier's name and address give upon request.

The Man in the Post Office was Quinten Bland, a very nice chap with loads of knowledge about the 384th BG. Somewhere on one of my old video tapes I have about half a recording of a documentary from 1984 of the return to Grafton Underwood by some members of the 384th BG. This was recorded off of Central Television, the documentary was called, The Village that met them again. I've Googled this title and it shows some information about this. Maybe someone could find a link to this, perhaps a way to obtain a complete copy of this story. Over to you...

Thanks so much for the welcome and I am heading over your way soon.Amiens will be one of my first stop..Have always wanted to visit since I saw that setup at The Imperial war Museum in the early 90's...great footage ..so clear and sharp. Brave men both in the resistance & RAF................ just got my After The Battle issue # 28..which features the raid...great magazine. Airfields man...yes that is the one I read about in that newspaper story from The Northern Echo ! Now if somehow I can locate a copy...more than happy to pay of course. I collect WW II documentaries and working as a television news photojournalist I have done a few myself. Airfields man I sent you a PM to see if you can help me get my hands on a copy. Thanks again men for the nice welcome. Have to salute that film maker for his efforts here in shooting & putting this all together. Sometime these small documentaries are the best.......nice tribute to the men in the raid! I look forward to standing before the graves of these men and offering them my prayers & salute for what they did during the war. Nice to be here! Denis thank you for your help here ! Airfields man..... thanks and yes he was a delight to talk to... we traded stories about the Eighth . You sound like me airfields man. I have so many tapes and dvd's at home and work...... have transfered most of my old VHS to DVD..now with the internet and great sources like Amazon & Ebay to obtain documentaries from all over the world its allowed me to grown my collection... Working in TV News here in the states has allowed me
really get my hands on some great documentaries. At one time I had over 1000 beta tapes ..well our NTSC format tv broadcast tapes in my locker at work... finally got I wanted off them onto dvd...mostly WW II stories. Will google that title...still hope somehow to get my hands on a pal copy of that Amiens Raid tape................in 2005 dvd's were coming on strong...did the films producer offer it on dvd ? I found this Airfields man......thanks for the tip.............. sadly my guess is that its sitting on some production house vault of shelf. Unless kept in cool dark places.... video tape loses its color over time. With the new digital format & HD TV............the films and video tape I shot back in the late 70's, 1980's....................& even into the 90's looks washed out. Would love to see that.... I am somewhat familiar with UK television................ what was this CENTRAL TELEVISION ????? A local UK regional network/???? Location?? Hey I got SUPER CAR NOW on dvd..so there is hope !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again Airfield man

Hi TCUNC76 or BlueNoser352, Hope that you received my PM to you?about the Amiens Raid. Regards Central Television, it was, as you say, a regional network. If they made a DVD of this documentary I'm sure it would sell well, as I've already said, I only have about half of this on tape as it was shown during the day. Luckily for me a friend who done shift-work at that time came home turned the telly on saw this programme and recorded what he could. I first called at Bodney Control Tower in May 1986 and various times since, long may it remain so...
