Yes, there's not much left there now, but incredibly atmospheric, exactly 70 years on from when Dad was there. He naturally doesn't recognise the place now but he thinks that at one end was quite possibly the place that they used to shoot clay pigeons (and the non-clay sort!). Jack, I'm very much looking forward to the CockPit Fest where I'll have a stall promoting the documentary, selling tickets and also my Pathfinder Fudge! (Just in time for Father's Day!). Hi All,

EX RAF GRSF - so spent a lot of time on airfields. Retired in 1991 as Chf Tech

Area of interest - the Nav Aids - AR1 ACR7d ACR430 TACAN TRN-26 PAR (SLA3B/C) TeleBrief WatchMan Cossor 700 SSR ILS Tx/RX.
I've decided after many years to write up some of the fun stuff of an RAF career and have discovered a few holes in the old memory this forum is gold dust for me.

Thanks guys

John McHugh

Welcome to AiX johnnymac623.

We were discussing 'telebriefs' in a thread on AiX. I am familiar with the aircraft end but what was at the other end of the cable?
