Was it you who put a request for information in the Brainless & Witless Times recently about a crash at Andrewsfield?

Since joining the site I have been looking for a film I had seen around 20 years ago on ITV about the air war in Europe and in connection with the 8th Air Force. Last night I came across it again on U Tube. I expect most of you have seen it but I don't if it is available as a DVD. It is entitled Memphis Belle and was made to celebrate the first 25 missions of that B17 G's crew. It is in colour and quite spectacular. There is another entitled Target for Tomorrow, not as immediate as the other film but almost three times as long. Memphis Belle runs for nearly 39 minutes.

Does anyone know if it is available?

Hi Senuna Yes it is still available one at most big air museums & also ebay .

Hi guys,

I've been lurking around on here for a while now, and I thought it best to formally introduce myself!

I've recently been getting more and more involved with the 95th Bomb Group Heritage Association in Horham, Suffolk and I seem to have been bitten by 'the bug'!

I seem to spend my time constantly stopping the car, eyeing up the various WW2 relics in nearby fields, wondering what they were used for. Ruining all my best clothes clambering through brambles, in the hopes to find some original grafitti, signage or wall murals. And harping on to my long suffering girlfriend about the planes that flew from so-and-so airfield... You get the picture!

I'm interested in the history of all the bases, but I live next to Snetterton, and regularly frequent The Red Feather Club at Horham, so they're my main interests at the moment.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now - I've recently taken some pics of one of the buildings at Snetterton Heath, so I'll no doubt load them up here in due course.
