Hello, my name`s Malcolm, I`m ex Army (don`t all boo at once).

My interest is making models of military vehicles and I came across this forum whilst researching a couple of new modelling projects I have in mind.
1. An RAF Mountain Rescue Land Rover Series 3 and an Aircraft Crash Rescue Jeep from the late 40`s, the ones in the red/yellow and black livery.

I find these forums very helpful for getting the right information needed to make an accurate model.

So as you can see I`m here for purely selfish reasons but hope to make some new friends along the way.

My remit for this years project covers the whole range of structures that are linked to the airfield, but are located beyond the central airfield core.

Strubby we have got, Manby we will find out, The other 2 that you mentioned I have located.
In the Netherlands taking pictures of everything visible in the public space is permitted, with the exception of people. Then you need a 'model release'. So I do not see the problem. Is the situation different in England?

Essentially no different here (though you can take photos of people in a public place). Some watch offices cannot easily be photographed from a public place though. The watch offices at Manby are far easier to photograph if you have permission to go to them. Coleby Grange is another that isn't easy to photograph from a public place.

I wonder whether such a book would actually sell sufficient copies to be economically viable?
