Willdo Alan. Sounds like the 'nun with the gun' was a 'barrel' of laughs, or did she get her 'stock' of jokes from a 'magazine'. Something must have 'triggered' this sense of humour - ! Arrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhh - !

Greetings,

We are a London based design consultancy working on new build airports and we are preparing full size mock-ups sets of the airport's interiors for check-in desking, boarding gate piers, ceiling treatments etc.

We are after a warehouse/hangar units of 2500 sq metres with a clear structural roof height of 12 metres +-. This can be either a single unit or multiple units of 1250 sqm each.

The rental period should be a minimum of six (6) months.

The location should be within a comfortable driving distance from West London.

It would be most appreciated if someone can steer us to facilities that match or are close to the base brief and or agents who can assist further.

Many thanks.

Areen Aviation

Welcome to the forum I'm sure there will be a few good suggestions for hangars.

only ones I can think of inside the m25 would be Herts and Essex Aero Club, who have hangers up for rent at Stapleford Airfield (nr Epping).

Cardington Hanger1 is always looking for tenants too... you certainly wont have issues with roof height.

Depends what you mean by comfortable driving distance! RAF Upwood may be an option. 1hour straight up the M11

Hi
I am currently researching my family tree and am trying to find out as much as I can about my mother's first husband. I already have some information about him but wish to fill in the details.

His name was Victor Albert Weaver and he was killed along with all the crew (from 90 Squadron) in Stirling EH937 en route to Berlin from Wratting Common on August 26th 1943.He was Radio officer and had volunteered. His son was only three months old when he was killed - Brian Victor Weaver - who died aged 63 a few years ago. There is no family member I can get information from.

The Stirling crashed into the Ysslemere. I would love to find out more about the crash, Victor's flying career, training, fellow pilots etc.

Can anyone help me! Have spent ages trolling through numerous websites but just get what I already know!

Many thanks

Hi, welcome to the forum. You may have typed it wrong but the date of death was actually August 24th not 26th. You have probably seen this link, but if not:

www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=1531113

As a relative, you should be able to get a copy of his service records from the MoD. I'm not sure of the department that deals with these requests but if no one on this forum can help with that I suggest you post on the RAF Commands Forum.
Good luck with your search!
