Welcome to AiX Barry, plenty on New Forest airfields to be found in the index. Ashley Walk (Bombing Range) is one of my favourites too.

Welcome to the forum Barry. The New Forest area is certainly an interesting area. The bombing range also has a lot of extant features.

Hello everybody,

Just a quick hello to introduce myself. I picked up on your site through a link posted on the excellent Lancaster Archive Forum which I use a lot. I am interested in all things to do with aviation, particularly historical stuff, and have a very special interest in the Lancaster and with RAF Waltham, since my father flew from there during the war. I know there is not much left up there now, but I do want to get up there and get "the feel" of the place, just to try and connect with what was such a significant part of his life for that short while. I want to see too if there is any evidence of the base in the local pub, e.g. photos etc..

Anyway, I love your site and have spent some time already seeing what's on offer. I look forward to logging in again as soon as I can.

Cheers,

Alan
