Hi REF,
'Fraid 20th. November is out for me, but maybe we can get together in early 2012 - ? I'm always up for an airfield prowl and Sundays are usually ok as I'm one of those boring sods who still does a Mon - Fri job. But I did spend twenty years doing shifts over a seven day cycle - !

Hello Debbie, how can we be of help? Do you know more about your father-in-laws outfit? Which army was he in and in which theatre, for instance?

Despite having been registered since early summer I havent yet introduced myself.

I am based in the Cotswolds with a lifelong interest in old airfields, mainly around here, but also in East Anglia where I was brought up and also went to school at Wymondham College on the site of the old American Air Force hospital.

My father was a 76 squadron pilot in WW11,and I have some unique aerial shots of Yorkshire airfields which I will post once the scanner is fixed!

Have been planning day tours of Cotswold disused airfields for some time, but have yet to arrange my first.

Welcome to Aix, Arrow28. 76 Sqn - no doubt you have some aerials of Linton and Holme which we will see soon :D.

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite
