Hello,

I'm a student from Nottingham Trent University and as part of my degree I have to produce a Heritage Trail Leaflet based on a historical place or topic of my choice. Being originally from Woodlands Park, I am interested in creating a leaflet based upon White Waltham and its associations with the ATA.

Any information, memories or photographs people are willing to share would be exceedingly helpful.
Thank you in advance.

Hi, Looking for any information on US involvement in the Huntingdon & Diddington area. Just a note to say that the Brampton Grange (1st Air Div HQ) is now being turned into flats. The so called developers are demolishing a wing of the building!

Welcome to AiX woodlandspark-ntustudent,

White Waltham was not (as far as I know) a military airfield during WW2 despite association with the Air Transport Auxiliary. Not my line but I hope that our knowledgeable members can give you some leads.

Welcome to AiX.

The USAAF WW2 involvement in the Huntington and Diddington area was an airfield at Kimbolton:

There was a USAAF practice bombing range at Ellington:

If you use the Search function on this forum (AiX) you should find threads discussing both.

Hello everyone. I joined the forum with a specific query about RAF Riccall, which was speedily answered, thanks again to those who helped.
My name is Iain Clark, my interests in aviation fairly general, but been in aeroplane maintenance for 34 years.
I've enjoyed delving into your forum, congratulations to all involved.
Cheers
Iain
