Hi, Looking for any information on US involvement in the Huntingdon & Diddington area. Just a note to say that the Brampton Grange (1st Air Div HQ) is now being turned into flats. The so called developers are demolishing a wing of the building!

Any idea what happened to the plaque that was within?? This can be seen under the Memorial section, Cambridgeshire.

The Dead got memorials, The living got time.

White Waltham was not (as far as I know) a military airfield during WW2 despite association with the Air Transport Auxiliary. Not my line but I hope that our knowledgeable members can give you some leads.

Interesting point. It was home to No.13 EFTS from 1935 to 1941, but this doesn't make it a military airfield and hence it does not appear in AIR10 4038/9.
.

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite
