Hi Colin - welcome along -

Is there a picture index of airfield buildings by Drg No?

Have you tried the RAF Museum at Hendon ? Have a look on their website.

That's nice, join a forum and with your first post have a go at the people running the site!! We don't consider ourselves "elitist" and no we don't all know one another. Your post is very rude and completely unnecessary, if you have criticisms of our registration process or indeed any suggestion about AiX these should be raised in a polite way, not via a tirade.

It has never been elitest on here at all and i have met such a nice bunch of gentleman ever since being involved on here.

So Gareth your first post was very rude and degrading to all of those on here.

If you are not happy with our processes then please feel free to find somewhere else to go as we do not need someone who,s intention is to cause upset instead of PMing a Moderator or Admin with the issue.

We have plenty of happy people here and i would like to say its an honour knowing most of you.

Erm, is he not having a rant at the ACG site?

It's been a long night though so I'm probably mis-reading the post!

Welcome to AiX ColinA.

Pillboxes could be armed with a variety of light machine guns dependent on what was available so various Vickers models, Lewis, Bren etc. An RAF Flight Sergeant named Turnbull devised a universal mounting by which most common LMGs could be installed. That is probably what you have seen at Atcham.

That's what I thought. I must admit the post is unclear.

There seems to be massive confussion here, Gareth's admittedly odd first post is pointing out that he has had difficulties joining a sim based forum, not the AIX. I'm guessing he thinks that we all know the other site and its members, but I certainly don't.

Al, this site did have a spammer posting on it this morning.
