Welcome to the forum. Flew into Southend from Biggin Hill on my one and only flying lesson. Also remember the old museum there, can't recall its name though.

Hi Keefyboy, It's great to welcome someone fairly local to me to the site. I'm from Leicester. You have one of my fave airfields not far from you over at Wymeswold. Anyway, i hope you enjoy the forum mate.

All the best,
Steve

Thanks for the great welcome guys, and its nice to be here.I have already had a nose around some of the threads and hopefully I can add a bit to them.

I will post what I have on the relevant airfields, Southend and Rivenhall as this is not really the right thread to put it on. I have a few memories of RAF Hornchurch but as you know now there is nothing left except memories, the greed of building houses.
Stevie I will catch up with you on Wymeswold after a conversation with someone yesterday which made me find this group and boy am I glad I did.

and Yes it is Keith....

Hi & Welcome,

Just curious, but do you still have the aircraft numbers?, if so you might be able to track the history and any photos that were taken of the aircraft and posted on internet sites.

Welcome Keefyboy , does your disability interfere with your mobility? Old airfields are not wheelchair friendly so AiX can be your wheels.
