Hi all,

I'm new to this RAF business, and female, so please bear with me. I've just found out I am related to Wing Commander J C Halley, 502 Squadron, St Eval Cornwall 1942/43 due to finding a letter from him in the 1940s addressed only from his base. I've tried Googling him but get very little about him except what you read above.

I'd like to find my present day relatives descended from Wing Cdr J C Halley, as they apparently tried to contact us in Canada in the 1940s. My nearer relative at that time was Vincent David Savage also in 502 Squadron, who died in action 12 Oct 1942.

Does anyone know how I can find out J C Halley's age etc, that would be a start so I can trace them. Does anyone know what the J C stands for?

Anything would be helpful.:(

Kind regards
