Great, another Far East member.

AiX has a section for 'Overseas Airfields' Lester and we welcome photographs old and new of airfields and infrastructure so you may be in a position to share some photographs.

Where are you based in Philippines? You have a lot of airfields.

Hi
I am trying to add this message to the welsh airfield or the gate guardian page - can't succeeed - what am I doing wrong ?
RAF Brawdy
Can anybody tell me what happenened to the Supermarine Spit. gate guardian which was situated at RAF Brawdy SWales

The base was home to Hawker Hunter aircraft of the TWU, and the gate guardian at the base was initially a Supermarine Spitfire, this was replaced in the early 80s by Hawker Hunter FGA.9 (XE624). This airframe was subsequently sold to Steve Petch, a private collector
TIA

keep the vulcan flying give it to the BoB mem flight in 2016

A short piece in the Lincolnshire Echo about the Pathfinders role and mentioning this project. The screening of the premier takes place this Wednesday at the Kinema if anyone can come, tickets will be available on the door. The research as always has taken many twists and turns, we are now so close to proving if we have found the 'right' Gordon Brown, but sadly due to a backlog at Cranwell, we won't get his service history in time, but if you want to know how far we have managed come along and see! www.thisislincolnshire.co.uk/Pathfinder-...y.html#axzz2eCcKuZeh

Hello,

I'm Jim from Suffolk, I am a harbour pilot by profession.
My Father was in the RAF, and therefore we moved around the globe, as you do.
We moved to ex. RAF Manby in the early eighties, and my parents still live there to date.

Regards
Jim

No, Dad was in ground electronics.
I was like most boys and wanted to play with the toys, and if that could not be guaranteed, then I wasn't prepared to fix them for someone else to.

Jim
