I think it's the other one, Peter. Aldergrove was 3AOS.

Interestingly both are now International Airports.

You can obtain a detailed copy of your dads RCAF service record from the Canadian archives in Ottawa . This link has some details ;

I will check this out as well. My Dad was Robert Thompson. Our grandfather was Charles Thompson from Ontario but we don't have a lot of info on his early years. The Thompsons never lingered on the past and we are at risk of losing it.

Hmmm, it seems like this topic dried up? Where do I find anyone specialising in Ginger Lacey? Maybe that's the way to go to find out which airfield I met him at.
