OK, OK - I'll be back in the Clubhouse in time for lock-up and lights out. Flipping heck, I only popped out for a short break to get some fresh 8thAF aviation air. How did you find out? It won't have to go on my record, will it?

N.O.S.

Oh yes please - the bar is in a right mess! And can you make it to A&E 2012?

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum. Regards RAF Pembrey, I'd never heard of it before  just Googled it, what an interesting history it has. Do you have any wartime photographs to post-up? Be good to see or hear of anything you may have. What is the old airfield like now ?

Welcome to AiX Sewing Machine Man, if you look under the 'Wales' section of AiX you will find plenty of info on Pembrey airfield and the former WW2 weapons ranges. You live within walking distance of the former Royal Ordnance Factory (now a Country Park) so plenty of history in your area. I spent a glorious summer as a member of RAF Bomb Disposal when we cleared the WW2 ranges in 1965 (or was in 1966:))
