The 'Introduce yourself' Thread

My name is Steve Connor and i am a motor technician from the Wirral,working at a Mazda dealership.

My interests are anything mechanical but especially military,but my main interest at the moment is RAF Hooton Park as it is 5 mins from here.

I joined AIX in the hope of finding out more about this mostly forgotten site and its rich history,as there seems to be very little available when i have searched the internet,so any info or pictures etc would be greatly appreciated,

I also plan to go and have a wander around up there when time permits as it is a good 25 years since me and a mate used to mooch around there but without fully appreciating the site

Hello everyone hope you are all having a good day so far. I am living in Birchwood which some of you might have seen on a couple of threads it where RAF Skellingthorpe is so cant wait to properly explore and see what we find.

My names elizabeth but preferd to be called Lizzy. I have got an intrest in the RAF and old RAF bases this is down to my dad doing 10 years in the RAF and for nearly the first 2 years of my life I lived on RAF Newton base that was a nice base and from what I have heard a lot of good times was had.

Was going to go into the RAF after my dad but sadly down to ligament damage in my ankle which still plays up to this day I was not fit enough to join. My sis is going into the raf either as RAF Police (dog unit i think is where she wants to be), tatctical supplier (like our dad) or photographer.
