I've always had a strong interest in aviation. As I become older, my interest in the historical aspects of WWI and II also increase.
I am always intrigued by the abandoned airfields of WWII, primarily in the UK. Those of the untouched partially remaining buildings are the most striking to me.

I recently made a video highlighting the aircrews of the Lancaster Bomber.

I would now like to make a short video highlighting the particularly unique abandoned airfields. I read somewhere that approximately 25% of the workforce in Britain was devoted to airfield construction preceding and during WWII. While there are many pictures of these airfields, I have yet to come across pictures of the actual construction processes.

I am looking for a different slant to this video and the opportunity to present the airfields in a different perspective. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
I will post this thread in a couple of spots.

Hi Sakulas, Well you certainly live in the right place to follow your interest in the 8th Air Force, and no-doubt you will find plenty of like-minded members on here as well.
