Airshows 1980's / 1990's

Great photos Deeppurple6. Thanks for posting them up. Great to see. Both shows, Mildenhall especially must be the most missed shows of all time!!

The date for the SR.71 photo must be wrong by the way as they had moved out of Mildenhall by 1991. The Blackbird flew in the display at Mildenhalls Air Fete every year from 84 till 88 (static only in 89 due to operational requirements!!..I remember being so gutted!! )

Yeah thanks, It was a fly by slow, fly by fast but couldn't catch it and then it landed. I think I went to MH in 90 and def 91, the next time I saw it, or maybe 2 or 3 of them was static at Lakenheath prob in 91. Ive just found the B-52 from MH and all others from Alconbury.

I found these earlier in a folder North Weald 1985 written on the front. Crew Chief. J P Sudan. Written on the edge of the canopy.

Wouldn’t know if they were stationed there but it flew past twice I think then landed

G-AZSC and Gary Numan at Alconbury in the early 90s

Couldn't stand his music, then or now.
