Been going through some old tins in the shed.

.303 bullets and cases all 30's dates found at Skipsea/Low Skirlington MTR in the 90's. Cleaned up & put together (stripper clip not a find)

Anyone know what this is, found at Skipsea/Low Skirlington, I think it could possibly be a part from a Sherman Tank?? The one i've been banging on about we found the wheels, tracks, hatch from, quite a lot of writing on it for such a little thing, it says on it:-

24/31 RYG 1
SMC 4/1942 /| (thats supposed to be the war dept arrow by the way.)

Various 20mm & 30mm cases found at Cowden on the beach & tops.
All 20mm state RG 53 20mm on the base, the 30mm state RG 51-54 on the bases.

9mm skirlington find..
50cal skirlington find, both parts. 40 something dated.
20mm skirlo find, 44 dated, very low tide in a big ditch in the sand.. projectile is also skirlo find.
20mm skirlo find 43 dated.
20mm cowden find. 53 dated
20mm cowden find.. not to sure what these were from??

Bofors 40mm head found at Cowden aswell, the case isnt a find but I couldnt get it out its stuck!!!

I can remember that very low tide when you found that mint 20mm case, i'd never seen the tide retreat so far, and i used to go quite a lot in them days.
That 5th 20mm case looks quite different from the others?

It's a fuze from a 3 inch mortar round.
