What`s the difference between American 30mm Brass cases and Nato 30mm Brass cases ??

I've no idea mate apart from the markings on the bottom of the cases lol.
Tell me and I'll have a look in the numerous tins I've got in my shed full of rounds and cases, hope there's no depleted uranium rounds in there ;-(

Bloody yanks!

Presumably the A-10's did not use depleted uranium rounds on practice targets?

kevin

Confirmed. The USAF did not consume/expend any 30mm DU in the UK whilst it was here.

The difference between Yank & Nato ,is that American aircraft retain spent brass .

Hello. Butting in.

Is the US more chamfered and about 50% taller. Kinda looks Like a big 50cal.
The British is just 30mm all the way.

Yeah they were blue same as the others I just couldn't find a pic of a blue one online.

Do they contain a bigger charge then or fragment ?

Ive seen Jaguars at Donna Nook dropping the smaller ones and it doesn't seem to big a flash, bang and smoke.
