Royal Ordnance Factory but peter can tell you more.

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

Sorry, I should not have assumed that you are familiar with abbreviations.

As NP says, I was referring to the former Pembrey Royal Ordnance Factory located here:

wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm?lat=5...3467&gz=14&oz=8>=1

Now a Country Park but once one of the most important aircraft bomb filling factories in the UK amongst other products.

Hi,

My name is James, I'm in search of a owners of disused airfields that I can contact in order to do some filming on.

I am based in the south east of the UK and i'm looking for a good expanse of tarmac / concrete surface to film with a vehicle.

Would any one know of possible locations?

Thanks in advance

James - I think your best bet is Bentwaters Parks. They do a lot of film work with Top Gear etc. You might also try Dunsfold, where the Top Gear studio is located. Perhaps Defence Estates - or is it now wholly owned by the Department for Justice - might allow filming on Coltishall airfield, although that is perhaps too far away from the south east for your budget. The bottom line is - how deep are your pockets?

Not sure whereabours you are in the south east, but south of Londone there Brooklands, Wisley and Kenley as well.

North of London well Leavesden springs to mind.
