Hi, I am a Blue Badge tourist guide who will be accompanying an American couple on a UK regional visit, including Grafton Underwood where a parent was stationed during the war. Does anyone know of any buildings that can still be seen from the roadside. A preliminary visit only showed up the roadside memorial and the window in the church. Anything anyone can add to make this visit more meaningful for them would be gratefully received. Many thanks. Susan

Hi Susan, an interesting question that I'd also like to know more about myself.

As it's the first time I've been back here in ages, the forum layout has changed, but the 'groupings' have remained the same.

I figured it might help if I "cut & paste" the link to Grafton-Underwood on here = currently six pages long !!!!!!

Susan, if you get you vehicle positioned on this road you can see some extant buildings. Take a look at it in Google Street View and you will get an idea:

Indeed - it would be better when there is less foliage around.

View 3

If we could see that car's numberplate in View 3 we could trace it and coerce him into becoming a member :-D.

Were not into Western satellite TV in this neck of the woods. My wife is a dedicated viewer of Thai soaps on local sat TV!

They don't always work Peter - I had trouble with the third one - for some reason it refused to go into StreetView on the first couple of attempts - then it did.

Your Where's the Path links work OK ! In GE you just click on 'Link' which is immediately above the picture itself on the right, then select and copy the top (Email IM) link
