Thanks Ted! I hope to finish my jeep shortly. I will go for a yellow hood at least to have some color over OD. dedox.
Note the light and shining color of this hood: it looks like yellow...
Hi everyone does anyone remember Tony Parker from Chester who had the 1938 Ariel Square Four ?
Prior to that, he had a 1930's Harley Davidson, which he used during his military duties despatch riding.
He was also known for his big Jaguars eg MK VIIM, MK IX, MK X.
Thanks Ted: my little Willy is almost finished in OD... I might build another one in 3 color scheme! By the way did RAF employ the CJ-3B (M606) Military Jeep? Or did they move to LR? dedox.
Hullo gentlemen,
My name is Diego Fernetti and I'm a modeller from Rosario, Argentina. My latest project is to build a diorama from the Airfix Control Tower kit. I know that the kit it's not accurate at all, but I want to add an interior and a scenic base to the basic kit parts, representing a "generic" example of a watch tower.
For that reason I've been researching colours, types of interior layouts and WW2 RAF furniture. Some watch towers are "restored" but they scarcely mirror the looks of wartime photographs. Hope to find good documentation here and I may ask some pretty obvious stuff regarding internal and external layouts, tips about the surrounding areas of towers, etc.
Hello dfernetti welcome to the forum there are quite afew people on AIX who should be able to help you . We also have a control tower
thread on here with lots of stuff & Photes on control towers . Hoe you find the forum useful .
