Hello there. I came across this site a few times whilst searching for USAAF related information, having had time to dig deeper here I am amazed by the depth of knowledge (and interest) that exists for all things airfield! Anyway -this is the problem:

Symptoms
An interest in WW2 U.S. trucks, a working environment encompassing Romneys and T2s, a WW2 pilot father, involvement with a USAAF Veterans Association

Cure

Who needs a cure, just live with it!!!

Tony

Thanks chaps, would anyone be interested if I took some of the bomb dump then, as it's not often open to the public (except the footpath) and we have an event that includes driving in there again on last weekend in June for the West Suffolk Country Fair?

Yes, photographs of the former Bomb Store would be welcomed by me. Thanks for treating the remains with respect!

Granted. :)

As the B-17 skidded down the runway, the Control Tower asked if they needed any assistance.

From the plane came a laconic voice: "Dunno - we ain't done crashin' yet"

I'm in the U.S. Air Force and have been stationed on & off in the UK for 10 years. I enjoy visiting old airfields and anything to do with military history.
