Hi and welcome kernowcam. The documentary featuring the late Nick Grace and his T.IX restoration is lurking "somewhere" here on VHS (probably the loft as usual!).

Enjoy the forums, etc.

Welcome Kernowcam - I spend alot of time in Cornwall and was at RAF Dry Tree only last week. Davidstow has to be my all time favorite airfield. So much atmosphere and remains there. Look forwards to some Cornish flavoured posts.

Hi my name is al and i am new to this site. I enjoy the old air bases of wwii. I spent time in england stationed at raf mildenhall in the early 70's. I did not realize that there so many wwii bases around east anglia. I wish the internet had been around then so i could have went out and visited them. My father was in the 1st inf div during wwii and he was stationed in england for a short time before going to north africa in 42. I retired from the air force and live in the state alabama.:-)

Hello Albert and welcome to the forum :)

The beauty of a site like this, is that you can almost do a virtual visit to the airfields you didnt originally get to see!. Due to the sheer amount of images and information, this should keep you busy for the next few days at least :)

Hello Albert, I met a lot USAF chaps at Mt Meissner, Germany, during the 80's, had some good social evenings. I always had my eggs "easy over" at breakfast.
