Thanks to all for the welcome, this gives me a small opportunity also to let you know more about myself. As mentioned in my introductory post, as well as main stream aviation I have always been drawn to any aviation site when passing, especially old airfields knowing that they are fast disappearing. I have a modest collection of airfield scenes and took an interest in Control Towers, as you know, every one of them are different, these included civil and military, old and new, and my camera was with me most the time. I have busied myself with exploring this excellent website since joining afew days ago, it will be ideal for my modest contributions in the near future, at the risk of repeating myself, hope to educate myself on certain airfields from you knowledgable people too, thankyou, Gerry.

I'm hoping that I can get as much information on here about Lissett airfield, my father served there during the war with 158 squadron and I'm in the process of putting together as much information as can be found about sorties, crews he flew with and the sortie he was shot down in.

Hope you can pass on advice in my adventure.
