The 'Introduce yourself' Thread

Cheers guys! am enjoying browsing the forums, and finding out some more about the airfields of the UK especially around here. I remember ( going back a good few years when I worked for Strathclyde Regional Council ) taking the kids I looked after up to what was the old RAF Bishopbriggs site to a golf driving range. The 'road' was pretty wide and still retained what i thought was initially runway markings but obviously not.

Fifty calibre (0.5 inch) is nominally 12.5mm

I have just joined, looks like it is going to be interesting. Have just retired allways had an interest in Aviation, photography, family history etc. Am going off to have a look and see if there is a list for kent on the Forum.

Hi Jael, welcome to AiX. There is a fair bit of infomation on the Kent airfields on the relevant part of the forum, I hope you enjoy looking through the forum and it would be great to see any info you are able to add to the threads.
