Hi
Just doing a bit of reseach into a LOX task when I found this site.
I'm still serving (correct at time of writing....just before the SDSR) and am a Gen Tech M, former Gen Tech GSE working at RAF Halton
AiXAdmin - I understand what you wrote about a change in use, but I thought it was more of a change rathern than redeveloping a decomissioned airfield back into an afield.
For instance: In Malta there was an airfield called Hal-Far serving allied forces in WWII, it is now converted into a drag strip, business and industrial area. That was the sought of planning permission or change in use I think you were talking about.
People often refer to something they object to as NIMBY - not in my back yard. This is much the case with wind farms and eye-sores.
