The Soviets built strong so should be plenty of artifacts.

Hi all my names Andy Horlock i have just found this website while searching for info on Redhill aerodrome where i work.A while back i made an effort to find out more about the airfield that i used to pass on family Sunday afternoon walks and later where i used to sit for a while, after my paper round, watching Bristow Helicopters engineers working on the helicopters.Years later i ended up working there for Bristows myself giving me all the opportunity i needed to further my research, which till now has been tucked away in the loft.I hope that it will be of some interest to the members of this forum.Well thats it for now i'm off to the loft.
cheers Andy

Welcome Andy, an interesting airfield Redhill starting life pre-war.

Looking at satellite imagery, there appears to be at least one Blister hangar extant on the SE corner. We should be interested to see any images that you have of remaining pre and WW2 structures.

Redhill is an amazing survivor considering its neighbour down the road. Then again I suspect the flighpaths don't tend to cross.

Welcome to the forum by the way.
