Yuk! What a day! Throughly soaked from 0730 onwards. Funnily enough, once the clouds lifted and the sun came out, the breeze dried the airfield out quickly, but not my crevices alas.
Absolutely fantastic photos Rich (slightly better than mine!! LOL!). That Dakota shot is amazing. It looks almost like a painting.
On to RAF Fairford and RIAT 2011 then. I'm very pleased to say i went on Sunday and the weather played ball pretty much all day although the skies were very menacing and threatening almost all day but the rain that played havoc with Saturdays display held off for almost the whole flying programme and only The Spanish Display Team Patrulla Aguila and the Swordfish were forced to cancel. Defitnetly not a classic RIAT this year but in light of the current situations facing NATO Air Arms and budget cuts etc i think it was a good line-up all things considered both in the air and on the ground.
Families Day this Friday 22nd kick off 11:00hrs not heard any scuttle about it being the last one, barrack room lawyer has it odds on that some sort of flying will return to Witt. watch and wait.
