I hope members will indulge me here but I had such a good day today at Popham I wanted to share some shots. The wind was something else though in excess of 20 knots which made conditions difficult for those taking part in the flying. There is no Popham thread so didn't know where else to put the post.
This was an interesting 757 inbound to Lasham taken at very long range from Popham. Appears to have UN all over the sides.

Rich your pics put mine to shame but Here's a few from Old Warden on Sunday. Lovely clear blue skies, sunshine BUT a crosswind of 25-30 knots!! Not the sort of conditions for an Old Warden display and unsuprisingly some of the aircraft had to cancel.. Still it was a great show never the less -
My flimsy little Samsung didgy camera finally gave up the ghost and packed up on me after taking these. It's served me well!!! Time for a more powerful one i think.
Roll on Duxford's first show in two weeks. Hopefully the wind will have died down a bit by then
I should think that some of the smaller aircraft were "interesting" to fly at Popham and Old Warden given the wind over the weekend! Lovely in the sun, but in the shade or at height it was bitter as well. Never ming, we shouldn't complain - beats driving rain hands down!
Here is the next set of airshow shots - these are from Abingdon on 8 May 2011 - a superb day which reminded me of when I used to go to to Abingdon Airshows in the 80's. Wonderful airfield in my opinion.

Some shots from a rather cold and windy Bruntingthorpe on 29 May 2011. Very nice to meet up with Stevie, Jason, Buccaneer, Bomber & Big Bear at the event.

it's been pissing-down here all day !! More like November right now
Tell me about it!!! It was like a monsoon all day at Cosfo0rd. i think this pic sums it up. Grey, Dark and RAIN ON THE BLOODY LENS!!! -
Despite the wet conditions there was some great flying in very difficult conditions. The Hawk solo,Tornado,Black Cats, Turbulent Team and Blades team being real highlights . Hydealfred also almost drowned at Cosford as well. Hopefully he'll post a few pics as well.
Well now I have dried out following the monsoon that was Cosford Airshow, here are a few shots from the day. Although it rained all day the hangars did have some nice bits and pieces to see.
I spotted this Tornado F.2 tailfin and thought it looked familiar. Then I remembered the last place I saw the fin
was when it was still attached to ZD937 at Farnborough Airshow in 1988
This is the shot I took at Farnborough in 1988

The forecast is much better for tomorrow than for today at Kemble and to be honest with the exception of a few short lived downpoars the weather wasn't too bad today in the end. There was some dramatic skies though! So here's a few highlights from an excellent day at Kemble's Cotswold Airshow 2011. Defiinetly one of the best classic jet shows in Europe.
Tower, Gnat and '558 -
It was absolute heaven for Hunter fans this year as the event celebrated the types 60th anniversary -
Just a few of the many, many pics i took. After seeing the weather forecast i really wasn't expecting to come home sunburnt, but i did!!
