Airshows 1960's / 1970's

I digitised my cine film of the September 1972 Battle of Britain at Home air show. As the file is nearly 200mb I can only add a link to it via my Google Drive so am not sure how long it will last if Google changes its policy. I'm sure the file can be reduced but when /I tried a smaller format it looked a lot worse.

Features include: Taken from the RAF camp side and not the usual air fair side - no sun in my face . Low passes of the Spitfire (Neil Williams?), A Devon, A Dominie, some flying cigarette adverts (Rothmans?) and of course Concorde, not in stealth mode by the looks of it. I assume Concorde was one of the prototypes some assume it is in a museum somewhere now. The only downside of the low flying was the high flying heads as only the taller people stood at the front. 18 years later I took a lightweight decorators platform to mitigate the head impact and also the every present windbreak brigade. Sadly the constant rain caused me to lose height after about half an hour.

Back in 1972 I didn't drive so I suspect I cycled to the air show and probably chained it to a tree near the old fuel dump entrance near where the biz-jet apron is now located. Amazing to think you could just wander in back then.

Another thing is that I don't recall the old RAF tower being used on non-air show days, despite it being a busy airfield for light aircraft. Am I mistaken or merely not very observant?
