Airshows 1960's / 1970's

Looking at family cine film from the late fifties it seems that jacket, waistcoat and cap/hat were standard attire. I assume the sixties changed all that, although a big factor in the fifties would have been rationing and lack of money plus the wartime attitude of make do and mend was still prevalent.

I notice that some of the children also wore school uniform or similar and I dare say cub/scout gear was also used. Why pay out for a new outfit for just the odd occasion?

Farnborough 1976 - I think it rained a lot and I got tipsy in the beer tent(s). Most slide I took that day were underexposed so I chucked them - shame I didn't predict digital photo correction software.

The photos below show the prototypes of the YC-15 and the YF-17, which evolved by one digit, and the ever present Concorde.
