Is the team still out there? Are they still looking? Is the documentary ongoing? Now that the worlds media have moved to pastures new, it wouldn't suprise me to find the original search site was a deliberate poor choice while they mine more promising areas in relative peace.
My partner says that they ought to get 'Time-team' on the dig, they always find out the real history of such things . . . she has Tonys number
That's not such a stupid idea. They seem to be very careful to do their pre dig research and only work where there is a high to good chance of success..don't know if they'd do Burma and Spits as they've got really touchy feely and PC lately after new sponsors took over. I think also that most of the professional archaeologists quit the program as they didn't like the dumbing down 'soundbite' approach of the new production team.
A deeply unfortunate lady as she was misdiagnosed with breast cancer and had a completely unnecessary double mastectomy by a 'specialist' who is currently in the news for over 200 mistakes in cancer treatment.
She's back in Cambridge and back in TV work again, be nice to see her on the screen again.
I have a sneaking interest in Dr Helen Geeke! Purely in the interests of history you understand!

They lost a lot of the original team, and last year the series was cancelled. So no chance of TT getting involved.. ..
