I'd be grateful if someone can tell me what these yellow triangles mean. I've got a couple of these huts with them & assume it means they were used for a special purpose?

Gas warning panels as per aircraft use of similar triangles I suspect.

Yellow triangle is usually a warning sign of some sort.

Serious thought - maybe they are to aid visibility in the dark? I'm thinking of how the painted white rings around lampposts to stop people walking into them.

Maybe the triangles are to stop vehicles driving into the huts.

During the cold war yellow triangles were used to mark NBC contamination, but they were the other way up. Its possible they were for gas warning in wwii, just like the yellow panels on aircraft and pillar boxes.
