I couldn't agree more with the remarks about Norton mentioned here. I managed to finally get rid of it years ago and it's never been on a PC of mine since. Grisoft's AVG is a stable and effective programme, from personal experience and it does, in most cases, divert any dodgy files straight into its quarantine folder.
I'll agree about Mail Washer. I've been using ot for quite a while now (I even bought a license a few years back but that has lapsed, so back to the freebie!). It's easy to set up and use, plus it gives you the satisfaction of bouncing mail back!
