You can have pleasure flights in C47s in the UK . The problem is all the stuff thats got to be done for the CAA to approve them.

Saw the stirring sight of 30 Dakotas fly over the Medway whilst camped out at Rivierside Park near Gillingham. Only two hours late but worth the wait. A shame my camera couldn't focus on them due to the dull background :(

Whilst typing this three Sea Kings flew over with "United States of America" on each one. I wonder who that might be?

The restoration of the St Hubert DC3 saw the aircraft taking it "maiden" flight yesterday 6 June

After 156 episodes it was great to see the Plane Savers project reach its conclusion with the first flight on the 6th June. Congrats to all involved. The DC-3 looks fantastic.

2019 was certainly the year of the DC3/ C47 on the show scene. Here's some of the photos I got of one of my favourite aircraft over this major anniversary year for this iconic aircraft.
Part 1 at Old Warden's Flying Festival. Having one aircraft on the ground at the Season Premier show was an imposing sight but having 8 of them at this tiny airfield later in the year at the Flying Festival was amazing. -
