Despite being authentic it doesn't look right on the Lancaster. The only aircraft I think it suited was the P40 Kittyhawk of 112 Sqn, perhaps because it is more common in pictures and was sported by other P40 units before and after.
I suspect it would appeal to the younger generation so may be a good thing.

Yes, it looks a bit like the artwork you'd get on a kids toy Lancaster. Oh well, teeth or no teeth I'm just glad It's finally coming over to the UK.

Sorry, but I'm with Peter on this one, I think the shark's teeth look absolutely awful. Jaws comes to mind of course.

The Canadian Lanc (& her teeth)

Hi Stevie

Having painted an oil painting of both Lancasters over Lincoln so the Lincs Lanc Association can publish a print (which is being launched at Waddington International), I got into a mild panic at the sight of the teeth, thinking I might have to rapidly add the gnashers to the picture before it goes to press.

I asked the question to the LLA, whose answer was: The 'teeth' and nose art were a temporary scheme for Father's day in Canada.

So, indications are that it will return to it's normal scheme for the UK tour - I hope!
