That map looks to be earlier than 1947. If the date is correct then the subject hangar was added later than 1947.
Compare with the Old Maps 1940 OS 2500 map.
I have been suspicious of maps on old-maps.co.uk website.
There is one that is marked as 1938, can't zoom in far now (sure there was more zoom) but it showed a large hut in the town centre that was used as a canteen / cinema during WWII. Also Lochaber High School which opened in 1960 and the village of Caol which was expanded around the same time.
NLS have added 1947 25" maps of Edinburgh recently so I pasted the area around Barnton Quarry into a thread elsewhere. Someone commented on the date so I pasted back the legend saying surveyed 1947 though I don't know if they deliberately left out the military structure from WWII.
Take the map dates with a pinch of salt as not all changes relate to the date published. I understand that some changes were ignored so some 1930 surveyed maps may still contain the 1909 version with only major updates added and this may not have been published until 1947. I'm not sure what the criteria was for major updates. Dated aerial photos are always much better for dating anyway.
Also some of the Old-Maps suffer from overlap issues and where an older map joins a newer map the original date may not apply.
I did have a 1947 vertical of the airfield but I have been unable to locate it!

The Getmapping website covers the area of the factory and the airfield with 1946/7 aerial coverage. Full zoom is not available but it may show something or even nothing.
