While on the train, I spotted a Pentad hangar on the site that I assume is ROF 20, north Worcester and which is now Blackpole Trading Estate. Anyone know anything about this hangar and why its here.
Is there any chance it may off been relocated from Perdiswell, funnily enough I have been past it on many occasions and said that looks like a hangar, this from the Perdiswell page,
As a kid back in the early 70's my dad would take me to
Perdiswell airfield on a Sunday and tell me about it in the war
With the different types of aircraft based there also where
the children's play area is now by the car park that used to
Be a large hanger type building I can remember walking in
It as a kid, it was three sided with high up large windows
and a proper house type roof,I can remember writing on
the walls with drawings and sizes of aircraft.i can't remember
when it was pulled down, but I still visit the field from time to time
with my son and tell him what my dad told me and what I
Remember of the old airfield,

It certainly seems to have been added post-war. The original factory was bought by Cadbury the chocolate maker in 1919 after a fire at their Bournville site not too far away. It was then requisitioned in 1940 and converted as an ROF producing .303 cartridge cases implying that it was an Engineering ROF however, to the west on the other side of the railway were expense magazines so it is more likely that the ROF produced SAA.
I apologise for the drift but knowing a little history may help determine when the Pentad was erected.
Since Paul is a railway fan this may be of interest:
Wards Engineering
County: Worcestershire
District: WORCESTER
Parish: WORCESTER
Monument Number: ( SO 85 NE 124 )
20TH CENTURY AIRCRAFT FACTORY 1901 - 2000
Site of a Ministry of Aircraft Production factory, and heavy engineering factory, at Blackpole, which produced aircraft parts during the Second World War.
This suggests not the same place as SAA factory.
Royal Ordnance Factory Blackpole

20TH CENTURY SMALL ARMS AMMUNITION FACTORY 1940 - 1945
World War II Small Arms Ammunition Factory, on the site of a pre-existing factory in Blackpole, opened in 1940. The exact location of the factory is unknown.
Confusing isn't it? I think that there were two separate factories. The so called 'aircraft factory' probably produced aircraft parts or assemblies.
That said, the Old Maps site has a good 2500 scale OS for 1940 showing the 'Chocolate Factory' complete with traversed expense magazines to the west (exploding Dairy Milk?)
yet only two smaller factories to the south the surrounding area to the east generally greenfield
That last link of yours has doubtful content such as '7.62 ammunition'!
Although Paul has pointed out that there was/is a rail line between the former Perdiswell airfield to the east, surely any relocated hangar would have been trucked by road in parts?
EDIT
Britain from Above has good coverage of the 'Chocolate Factory' prewar.
There used to be a MAP Robin hangar at the airport in the 1980s which I thought was a bit odd at the time. I expect the Pentad is part of the MAP factory and the SAA ROF is elsewhere at Blackpole
You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!
When I saw the heading it made me think at first that it was a site somewhere between Kidderminster and Worcester, or at least around Kidderminster, that I think was an AAOD.
At least one of the carpet manufacturers in the Kidderminster area packed the containers parachuted into France by SOE.
