Got a second hand but new book for 32€ + 24€ P&P + 10€ custom as from the US... expensive but really worth to get such a book in my library

I get a feeling from the price and you saying you got it from the USA you grabbed the exact copy I was looking at.

Just for info, I've the book was also published under the title "Ploughshares into Swords: The Expansion Years of the Infrastructure of the RAF 1935-1945"
That's how I found my copy as it was listed with a US bookseller for £30 under the alternate title.

Amazing - didn't know this. Why should a publisher release two identical books at the same time, one of which bears the same title as a number of completely different books already in publication
Meant to mention in my above post that RAFM Hendon had a number of spare copies of AP3236, plus similar AHB volumes including 'Maintenance' and 'Air-Sea Rescue'. These surplus copies were sold in the Museum Shop many years ago. Needless to say they went very quickly. Fortunately I happened to be in the right place at the right time and bought both 'Works' and 'Maintenance'. Two of my best buys.

Got mine yesterday and I bought it from Alibris for £35 (I think) and the dust cover has Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin stamped inside. I wondered why it took so long to arrive.
The page after the Forward has the biblical quote "Plowshares into Swords"(sic).
The book was originally priced at £65 and published by TSO (The Stationery Office) in 1997 as a copy of AP3236 complete with 'Z' fold drawings.
There are still a lot of copies around ranging from £30 - £60.
